SAM Vendors
This section contains vendors located within the SAM.gov system. Having access to this data allows you to research competition and identify possible teaming opportunities.
These are vendors that are found within SAM. They have been active at one point in time and have information that has been verified by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). These vendors contain the following tabs:

- Teaming
- Notes
You can add SAM Vendors to Vendor Management for even more ways to keep track of them.
Summary
This is the main tab shown when going to a Vendor’s detail page. the Summary page provides enough information for you to get a general idea of the organization and what they do.
- Basic Information - This is a general summary of the vendor, their qualifications, and codes.
- Location – This is their physical location, as listed within their SAM. The map underneath this section will show the physical location by default.
- Point of Contact– These are the contacts and their types as listed within the SAM system.
- Local Competition - This shows a list of vendors within the area that are performing similar services to the NAICS codes you have listed.
Contracts
This tab holds awarded contract information. A lot of these pieces of information can be exported or changed to receive specific pieces of information.
- Reports – This is a graph of the funding and awards that you can change or update to show different timelines.
- Last 10 Years
- Last 5 Years
- Last 3 Years
- Last Year
- Last 6 Months
- Funding Analysis – This is an analysis of where the awarded funds come from in terms of this particular organization. These can be split in multiple different ways and show different timelines. This information can also be exported to a CSV file.
- Federal Contract Awards - These are the organization’s awarded contracts.
Teaming
The teaming tab will only appear if the organization has been claimed and if they have filled out their organization's teaming profile. They would also need to have set their teaming profile up as public.
The information will display similarly to how it was written for all potential partners to see.
Notes
These are shared between the current organization that creates these notes and its users. These will not show to the vendor these are written on or any other organization within APP. These are private to the currently selected organization and its users.
- Organization Members - Add information on users you speak with within the organization and add their information for others to use for contact.
- Notes - Add notes about the organization here. These can be edited or deleted by the user that has created them.
- NAICS Used - Provide information on the NAICS codes that you use for this organization. This area will give information on whether the vendor has these listed within their SAM or not as well.
