Vendors

The Advanced Procurement Portal (APP) provides an up-to-date database of all vendors registered to do business with the federal government. This access allows you to research competitors and identify potential teaming opportunities.

Searching Vendors

To access the Vendors Search page, navigate to the Discovery category and click on Vendors. 

On the Vendors page, you will find three tabs, each with its own search bar and filters:

• SAM Vendors
• Local Vendors
• Potential Vendors

SAM Vendors

SAM Vendors are those registered or recently active in the SAM.gov system. You can filter SAM Vendors using the following criteria:

• Automatic filters when selected
  • Vendors
  • Active in SAM.gov
• UEI & CAGE code
  • UEI Code
  • CAGE Code
• NAICS & PSCs
  • NAICS Category
  • PSC Category
• Location
  • State
  • Zip Code
• Set Aside
• Dates
  • Registration Date
  • Expiration Date
• Entity Structure
• Keywords

Additionally, you can use the search bar to find specific vendors by name, CAGE or UEI code, industry, or related keywords.

Local Vendors

Local Vendors are those who have created a profile within the APP system but are not fully registered in SAM.gov.

To be listed as a Local Vendor without an active SAM registration:

1. Complete your Organization's profile by clicking Register Account on your Organization Settings page.
2. Fill out your Teaming Profile in the Organization Settings and enable Public Profile Visibility.
3. Complete the Teaming Information section to enhance your profile visibility.

Potential Vendors

This section lists vendors you have marked as Potential Partners ( ). To do this:

• Click the Potential Partner button on the SAM Vendors and Local Vendors pages.

Use this section as a saved list to keep track of vendors you have noted or wish to remember for future use. You can mark SAM Vendors as Potential Vendors, and they will appear in this area.
