What is a Pipeline?

A Pipeline is a customizable workflow tool that delineates stages of production used during the pursuit of an Opportunity. Each stage reflects business development actions, such as opportunity identification, research, proposal development, review, and reporting.

NOTICE A pipeline serves as the main workflow structure that organizes the given information.

What is a Pursuit?

Pursuits are Opportunities that you select to pursue or track within your Pipelines. These are the specific opportunities you decide to go after.

NOTICE Pursuits represent the individual opportunities within a pipeline.

What is a Stage?

Stages are segments within a Pipeline where pursuits are housed, indicating their progress. These stages are named according to your workflow and reflect how opportunities advance.

When an Opportunity is added to a Pipeline, it's assigned to a stage. The default stage upon addition is Triage, acting as a holding place without affecting Pipeline statistics or projections.

NOTICE Default stages include Triage, Won, Lost, and Abandoned, each serving specific purposes within the pipeline structure.
